12.09.10
Today we began working on a new story for episode 2 - a story about us as kids. We looked at old pictures together and shared stories. We learned how to scan photographs and Paul is going to begin interviewing everyone next week about life as a baby, or a young kid.

We are still working on the name for the story, some ideas that came up during our brainstorming session: us kids, us as kids, photographs of us when we were younger, babies, kids, media kids, etc.

9.23.10 My friend, photographer Tonee Harbert came to the media program to teach a Holga camera workshop. Collectively we had a Holga and one roll of BXW film for each person. While the group walked around the East End and took photos, I asked each person about the photographs they were taking with the audio recorder. The finished audio slideshow will appear as a segment of the TV show. Here are some of the shots:

9.14.10 A sneak preview of Paul's photoshoot for an upcoming Ke$ha music video. Paul selected various locations around Portland's Old Port to "strike a pose."

9.14.10 Animating our introduction for episode 1 of "TV SHOW." Everyone drew their own version of a TV and then we huddled together around a black background and used stop motion animation to make the TV's dance and bounce on the screen.

9.16.10 Paul has begun to play with Photoshop and is learning how to alter color & saturation in order to create a dreamy feel like that of the land of Tatouine.
